The event was a great success, with 27 students participating in various activities.
The event was set up as part of the Playground to Podium initiative designed to identify possible future Olympians as well as give opportunities to students to represent their school who may not be given this opportunity on a regular basis.

From this day, 6 students will be chosen to go and represent the Leeds South at the county competition.
Well done to all participants and good luck!!!

The Bruntcliffe Family held their 4th show and tell evening at Birchfield
The event was organised by Mr Stuart and Mr Mulholland and was designed to allow students to show off their skills in Dance and Gymnastics.
The festivals saw students from Birchfield, Drighlington, Asquith and Bruntcliffe show off their skills.
The performances ranged from gymnastics tumbling to invigorating dance to break dancing…Along with side entertainment from Mr Mulholland himself!!!
It’s always great to see kids just having fun without having to worry about the competitive aspect of sport and this is exactly what this event was designed for.

Tuesday 2nd December
Held at Royds High School
On a cold wintery day our Orienteering went very well. This was the culmination of the family competitions that had already taken place with the winners representing their family of schools.
The pupils had a great time and competed to a high standard.
The adults who accompanied them though got very cold, but this did not dampen their spirits and they encouraged their pupils very positively.
The event would not have been as successful had it not been for the valued help of the Royds Sports Leaders – Thank you very much!
Congratulations to all the pupils who worked extremely well.
Well done to Rothwell C of E winners of the Year 5 Competition (Again!)
Well done also to Oulton winners of the Year 6 Competition
