KS1 Gymnastics Festival
Cockburn’s family has held 2 Gymnastic festivals for KS 1 this term. The first was held at Beeston Primary school on Thursday 13th November for the 3 Beeston based primary schools.
The second was at Middleton St Mary’s on Tuesday 25th November for the Middleton based primary schools.
The primary schools have been working with a gymnastics coach in their PE lesson this term and these festivals provided an opportunity to show their work to other schools and their parents.
The standard was very high at both competitions, so it was decided it was too difficult to decided a winning school!

29 Sep
This event took place at Westwood Primary School on Wednesday 17th September. This was a successful and fun competition with 5 schools from the family taking part. Four pupils from each school, from years 5 and 6 all competed in a star orienteering competition. This was the first time a lot of the pupils had ever taken part in an orienteering competition, so a lot of fast learning took place during a quick map lesson from Mr Carter (Westwood)!
The competition was a big success, with all pupils completed the course. The winning school team was Westwood Primary who will now represent the family at the partnership competition. Hugh Gaitskell Primary came second and Beeston St Anthony’s Primary Third.
Everyone at the end of a very successful day!!!
Some more action shots taken on the day.
